Hydro Australia Pty. Ltd. was formed in December 1997 and officially commenced operations on the 21st October 1998. We are a division of Hydro Inc., the largest independent pump repairer in North America.

Hydro Australia is located 8 Minchington Road, Morwell, Victoria. The first class facility is located in an industrial park, in the heart of the Latrobe Valley - 130kms from Melbourne. It is on the doorstep of 3 major power stations and mines, with easy access to metallurgical services and transport. Since commencement in Australia we have moved from having one customer and 2 employees, to having a purpose built facility, carrying out work both on site and in our workshop for companies all around Australia and Malaysia, employing 35 highly skilled personnel.

We have commitment to Quality (AS:NZS 9001:2008 certified) and Occupational Health & Safety (AS:NZS 4801:2001 certified).

Our philosophy is to work hand in hand with our clients in providing solution-based engineering in the pursuit of identifying the root cause failure of pumps and re-engineering the product to eliminate those problems identified.

This approach focuses on increasing equipment life, thereby reducing maintenance costs associated with the repair, parts purchase and in-house labor resulting from premature equipment shutdown.

Our most important strategic concept, however, was to share our working pump knowledge with our clients. For, as our mission states, only by working hand in hand with the customer can we truely develop optimum performance. In support of this, Hydro Australia maintains an open door policy, inviting unannounced visits by our customers to inspect our workmanship.

We are engineering based and are linked to our parent company by computer to enable any problems unable to be resolved by our engineering group to be assessed by the Hydro pump engineering department.
